   Capital Expenses was previously increased from cash on hand.

   Frank moved to approve the requested reallocations shown above; Jean seconded; motion approved.

3. FY 2023-24 PROPOSED BUDGET

   Discussion:

   Board encouraged exploration of distributing reserves over more accounts and seeking best possible interest rates through CD’s etc.

   For estimated non-tax revenue, Ike explained that rental income included anticipated rent from the Friends of the Library for a revived café. Board recommended reducing the estimate of rental income from $50,000 to $40,000.

   Capital Projects line includes cost of planning for elevator modernization but the actual construction will occur later, after obtaining approval from the State Education Department. There is a possibility of seeking state funding for this project.

   Terry moved to approve the budget proposal with a 5% salary increase and a 1.5% tax increase; Carol seconded; motion approved.
