Discussion and Approval of Cluster Action Initiative Response Plan
This is a state initiative which is focused on micro-clusters, smaller geographic areas based on zip codes and possibly census tracts. Pursuant to the New York State Cluster Action Initiative, a Yellow Zone declaration will trigger Phase 3; an Orange Zone declaration will trigger Phase 2; a Red Zone declaration will trigger Phase 1.
The question of zip codes was raised: is our response based on the zip code where the library is located? How are the zip codes of the areas we serve taken into consideration?
The library is now at phase 4 of its reopening plan. A motion to approve the plan was made by Katie Capelli, second by Terry Diggory. All in favor, motion carries.
Approval of Telecommuting Policy
Although this plan is not due to be approved until April, approval now will prepare us in case the library has to be returned to an earlier phase of reopening. The policy, which details actions necessary for approval of employee telecommuting, will be used both during and after the pandemic emergency and will fulfill requirements for the library's pandemic response plan.
Frank Brady suggested an amendment on page 2 of the policy, changing "agreement" to "arrangement". A motion to approve the policy with this change was made by Terry Diggory, second by Minita Sanghvi. All in favor, motion carries.
Meeting Adjourned at 5:30 pm
